Recipe Soup with Rice and Turnip


First:

Cut off leaves from turnip. Peel turnip and cut into 1 cm(0.4 inch) dices. Parboil the leaves in hot water and then soak in water to cool. Squeeze out moisture and chop finely.

Step 1

Finely chop crab-meat-flavored steamed fishcake.


Second:
Place dashi stock (basic stock) and steamed rice in pot and mix. Heat over high flame. When it brings to boil, add salt and simmer for 10 minutes. Process it in blender and put it back to the pot.

Step 1

Add turnip and fishcake and simmer for 5-6 minutes. Remove from heat and transfer to bowls. Garnish with chopped turnip leaves.
