Recipe Simmered Pumpkin


First:

Remove seeds and white stuff like cotton, scrape some parts of the skin, and cut into bite-sized pieces.

Trim off stems from sayaingen (green beans), boil in salted hot water. Take them out in water. When it get cool, drain , and cut into 2cm(0.75 inch) width.


Second:
Put pumpkin, dashi (basic stock), and cook the covered pan with drop-lid in over high heat. Reduce the heat and cook for 15 minutes.

Serve pumpkins and juices on a plate and sprinkle with sayaingen (green beans).
